DownTown Mystic Releases 'One More Chance' Single Featuring Late Drummer Tommy Mastro

Sha-La Music Inc. has announced the worldwide release of a new digital single, 'One More Chance', by US Roots Rocker DownTown Mystic. The single, scheduled for release on January 24, 2025, will be distributed globally to streaming services via The Orchard/Sony Music. This release follows the successful 'Better Day Digital 45' from October and precedes the highly anticipated album 'The Wish', set to drop on April 11.

The 'One More Chance' single features two tracks, including 'Read The Signs', which showcases the talents of longtime DownTown Mystic collaborator Bruce Engler. Engler co-wrote both songs with DownTown Mystic's Robert Allen and contributes lead guitar and vocals. The title track, 'One More Chance', includes a unique musical interlude and a live jam session recorded as the track fades out, offering listeners a distinctive musical experience.

Notably, the single features one of the last recorded sessions by the late drummer Tommy Mastro, who tragically passed away due to ALS. His muscular style is complemented by the bass playing of P.J. Farley (known for his work with Trixter and Fozzy). 'Read The Signs' features DownTown Mystic's established rhythm section of drummer Steve Holley (Paul McCartney, Ian Hunter) and bassist Paul Page (Dion, Ian Hunter).
